About Jim Boykin

Hi... I'm Jim. I'm the guy who made Blue Frog News.

I grew up in Galway, NY, and I've lived in this area for most of my life. Most recently my wife and I got a house in Charlton NY. We're enjoying being close to family and friends.

For 26 years I ran an internet marketing company. It started in 1999 as We Build Pages and in 2011 we rebranded to Internet Marketing Ninjas, with offices in Troy and later Clifton Park. At its peak there were a little over 100 ninjas. Along the way I also owned WebmasterWorld, SEOChat and Cre8asiteForums. I spent a lot of years on stage at search conferences speaking around the world about Search Engine Optimization for many years. In 2025 the company became part of Previsible, and in early 2026 I retired.

I might be retired, but I still find myself building tools now. For Blue Frog News I just wanted a tool to show me news that I wanted and events that I might be interested in seeing... so for that I built Blue Frog News, and later I decided to make a public version of this. This site has no ads, no tracking, no login needed. Once I had it working for myself, I thought others might enjoy this too... so here it is, Blue Frog News, free for anyone.

If you work in search or AI, the SEO/AI tab is the one I'd choose to see... it's the stuff I'd still be reading if I were still in the business... sometimes, I'll admit, I still peek at what's going on.

I read every message that comes through the contact form. If a source is missing, or if an event is in the wrong town, or something is just broken, let me know.
